The Trusts EcoHouse

The Trusts EcoHouse is a wonderful demonstration in sustainable building practices and is open to the public for viewing.

For two years the house was occupied by a family of four, and demonstrated high levels of savings: energy use reduced by 33%; Water use reduced by 66%.

Tag Out Trust

Tag Out Trust works alongside Auckland Council to assist individuals, businesses, schools, and groups to remove graffiti from their community. The trust is involved in a number of removal projects. Most importantly, graffiti should be removed as soon as possible after it occurs.

 

Project Twin Streams Glen Eden

EcoMatters and Glen Eden Primary School are working together to restore the streams in the Glen Eden area.

The programme

The Sustainable Homes Programme is a community-based initiative. It provides householders with a practical toolkit aimed at helping to improve environmental sustainability at home. The programme focuses on four major categories: energy efficiency, water conservation, waste minimisation, and transportation.
