Nau mai, haere mai! Join us at Scroggy Stream to put native plants in the ground, which can add stability to the stream banks, absorb water in heavy rain, and provide a healthy habitat for our native birds and critters.
We’ll be working in Matangirua/Chettle Reserve, close to Bunnings Warehouse, New Lynn. It’s our first step in transforming this stream into a haven for native birds and critters, and ensuring it flows well during changeable weather.
Kids welcome but must be supervised. Sturdy closed-toe shoes are required, and gardening gloves, a rain jacket and a sun hat are advised. We’ll finish with some kai together at the end.
