Rongoā and Native Plant Giveaway

About this Event
Join us for a community open day celebrating native plants, biodiversity and te taiao.
From 10am–2pm, pick up a free native seedling for your home, chat with Eve, our Nursery Manager, and learn more about planting and caring for native species.
Learn about Rongoā with Emma Haslam (Ngāi Te Rangi and Ngāti Hauā), an experienced Rongoā Māori Practitioner. Discover the traditions of Māori plant-based healing through native plant identification, practical kōrero, and learning how these taonga species support healthier waterways, reduce erosion, and create habitats for native biodiversity. Emma will be onsite throughout the day to share knowledge and answer questions.
Planting even one native tree or shrub can help strengthen wildlife habitats, improve environmental health and bring more birdsong back into our neighbourhoods.
Free event. One native seedling per household while stocks last.
Thanks to Auckland Council.
